What we collect
Registration, feedback, and support forms collect the details you submit, including email,
first and last name, phone prefix, phone number, issue type, rating, category, and message. Service logs may
include IP address, browser details, timestamps, referrer, and security signals.
If you sign in with Apple, Google, or email, we store the account email, display name if
provided, internal user ID, verification state, sign-in provider, provider account identifier,
protected session records, and limited sign-in timestamps. Apple private relay addresses are
treated as account email addresses when you choose to use them.
The app may process location, route, destination search, map interaction, account, purchase,
road report, ad impression, feature usage, and device data when needed to provide navigation,
alerts, usage limits, support, security, billing, and account features.
Usage, ads, and purchases
To operate free and paid plans, we record usage events such as app map sessions, destination
searches, route creation, reroutes, traffic route use, nearby-place overlays, road reports,
subscription entitlement changes, and ad impressions. These records may include event time,
app version, platform, monthly counter, provider product, request hash, and limited event metadata.
If you are signed in, usage and entitlement records are linked to your Wheel Man account.
If you are not signed in, they are linked to an anonymous install ID so we can apply monthly
limits and ad frequency. App Store or Google Play purchase identifiers may be stored to confirm
subscription status, refunds, renewals, and support requests.
Sign-in session tokens are stored on your device with the platform secure-storage mechanism.
Apple and Google client secrets stay on the Wheel Man server. When Apple returns a revocable
sign-in token, Wheel Man stores it in protected server storage only so it can be revoked if
you delete your account.
How we use it
We use personal information to deliver the service, respond to support, send requested
updates, maintain security, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, meet legal duties, and improve
navigation quality. Usage records are also used to apply free-plan limits, maintain subscription
entitlements, estimate service costs, decide when free users should see ads, and understand which
features need reliability work.
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral
advertising. If that changes, we will provide the required notice and opt-out controls first.
Map and service providers
Wheel Man uses map, routing, traffic, search, hosting, email, analytics, app-store, and payment
providers to run the service. Map and navigation requests may be sent to Mapbox or routed through
the Wheel Man service before reaching Mapbox. Provider requests can include coordinates,
destination search text, route endpoints, request timing, and technical request details.
Cookies and local storage
This site uses necessary local storage to remember your cookie choice and form timing used
for spam protection. Optional Google Analytics is blocked unless you allow analytics.
Advertising storage, ad personalization, and ad user data signals remain disabled.
You can reject optional analytics, allow it, or change your decision later with Cookie settings.
Refusing analytics does not limit site access.
Your choices
Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability,
restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or an opt-out from sale, sharing, or targeted
advertising. You may also complain to your local privacy regulator.
In the app, open Settings while signed in to delete your Wheel Man account. Deletion signs you
out, revokes active sessions, unlinks Apple or Google sign-in records, removes password access,
and scrubs account email and display name from the primary account record, except where limited
records must be retained for legal, security, billing, abuse-prevention, or backup integrity.
Send privacy and support requests to
support@wheelmangps.com.
We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Retention and security
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, legal requirements,
dispute handling, security, and backup integrity. We use reasonable administrative,
technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the data involved.
Usage counters may be kept in monthly form for billing, cost analysis, abuse prevention,
and support. Raw event details are kept only as long as needed for those purposes unless
a legal, tax, security, or dispute reason requires longer retention.
Children and transfers
Wheel Man is not directed to children under 13, or under 16 where local law uses that
higher threshold. Data may be processed in the United States or by service providers in
other countries with appropriate contractual or legal safeguards.
